Sun Shield Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 50 is a 100% mineral sunscreen with active ingredients zinc oxide 15.6% and titanium dioxide 6.2%. Obagi describes it as a sheer, quick-absorbing, non-greasy formula that is ideal for post-procedure skin, and states it provides comprehensive UVA/UVB protection plus defense against infrared and HEV light including blue light, whether solar or digital, which can contribute to premature skin aging. It is non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, and is recognized by the Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective daily broad spectrum sunscreen. The all-mineral formula makes it the appropriate choice for sensitive skin and for patients immediately following peels, lasers or microneedling.
